Freelance reporter/writer for Dutch national news agency ANP (Algemeen Nederlands Persbureau). Started off delivering short competition reports, interviews and news stories (mainly) about gymnastics around June 2021.

As of March 2022, I also started to cover sports news shifts on a regular basis, following and covering the worlds’ sports news and writing short and factual articles to be used by the national media.

Olympic Broadcasting Services

Reporter for the Olympic Information Service (OIS) during the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Games 2024 Youth Olympic Games.

Writing news stories, previews, reviews and getting flash quotes, as well as doing OBS tv-interviews.

Sports reporter for newspaper Noord Hollands Dagblad (edities West-Friesland/Alkmaar/Kennemerland/Waterland/Zaanstreek) & Haarlems Dagblad/IJmuider Courant.

Since 2007, I’m covering artistic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics for this newspaper.

In 2020 I took up covering field hockey as well.

As a freelancer for the International Skating Union (ISU), I create and post social media posts about speedskating and shorttrack.

I have also covered a couple of events, including the World Cup shorttrack in Dordrecht (2020).

As a freelancer for the Royal Dutch Gymnastics Federation (KNGU), I wrote articles for their website and magazine. Between 2018 and mid-2020, I assisted the Communications Department during big events like the European- and World Championships

For the platform Women in Sport, I regularly write various (interview) stories as a freelancer. During the COVID-19 period in 2020, I also started the section Sports Journalists Without Sports, in which I spoke with fellow sports journalists about the time when we all missed our work.

Gracenote Sports

As a freelancer, I’m involved in Gracenote’s Biography Research Project.

In the lead-up to the London 2012 Olympic Games, I wrote statistics and previews for the artistic, trampoline and rhythmic gymnastics competition. For the 2018 Winter Games, I’ve helped providing texts for the extended start lists.

In 2013, I was a News Service Team Leader at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht, 2013. A year later, during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games I was appointed as a Sports Information Specialist for the News Service.

Between 2014 and 2016, I worked as a fulltime Data Controller at Gracenote’s HQ in Nieuwegein.

From 2017 till 2019, I worked as a freelance journalist/writer for Týrsday, a online sports content & activation company.

Southfields BV

Southfields

During the Dutch gymnastics championships in 2017 and 2018 I worked as a freelance journalist / floor manager for Southfields BV. I assisted the journalists and producers to compile a TV-show about the championships, which was broadcasted on Ziggo Sport TV.

I’ve also assisted the Southfields team during ‘A Touch of Gold 2017’.
